AFW 2026 backstage report: Iordanes Spyridon Gogos

Iordanes Spyridon Gogos x Skin Control backstage report – May 14th, 2026

Skin Control, the skincare disruptor behind some of Australia’s most viral glow products, made its Australian Fashion Week debut this week as models at the Iordanes Spyridon Gogos show donned the Skin Control patches on their faces, arms and bodies.

Jordan Gogos, the creative director of Iordanes Spyridon Gogos has shown at Australian Fashion Week five times, but never with something as striking as the choice to add the pimple patches the looks on this runway.

"Australian Fashion Week is such an iconic moment on the cultural calendar for Sydney, and to see Skin Control take to the runway in this way is incredibly exciting for us as a brand," said Skin Control co-founder, Michael Porter.

"Pimple patches have evolved far beyond skincare alone, they’ve become part of the beauty and fashion conversation, embraced as a form of self-expression and individuality."

"Seeing them styled on the runway reflects a broader shift in culture, where consumers are confidently embracing skin positivity rather than concealing it."

The look:

"Skin Control is never ending freedom to make your face or body a canvas for possibility," said designer, Jordan Gogos.

"We reconfigured Skin Control products a million and one times into things as playful as a sticker book or as high end as couture gets. We couldn’t get enough!"

The skin:

"In this collaboration, Skin Control’s pimple patches are reimagined beyond their everyday function, transformed into sculptural elements and wearable skin art," shared Lead Makeup Artist, Lillian Susan.

"I’m so excited to use this new medium to turn skincare into adornment and self expression which I love."
