Who: Alice McCall
When: 10:00am, May 14, Carriageworks

Hair: Keiren Street for Wella
Hair look:
"Today's look is a nod to the sixties. She's a teddy girl with a little bit of grit and she's a party girl. We've used Wella Perfect Me to get the ribbony texture, then I've sprayed the hair with Wella Glam Mist to give it a sweaty, glossy look. Some of the girls have had blunt fringes clipped in too. Finally we've heated up the hair with the ghd platinum+ to ensure the look doesn't end up being too pretty."

Makeup: Nicole Thompson for MAC
"Basically, it's lashes ahoy. But you have to make lashes work for each person. We haven't been using too much mascara because we don't want the eyes to look too heavy, too hard. We want them to look soft and wispy – quite sixties. When you think of the sixties, you think of Twiggy straight away, but this isn't Twiggy. It's more Jane Birkin, with the soft, undone hair, looking like she hasn't tried too hard. Twiggy has clearly spent hours on that makeup – or somebody did!

The great thing about the MAC individual lashes is that they're tiny. The little ones are amazing to fill in the gaps or go underneath the eye. We've also painted on some lashes in between to make them look really feathery. We've used eyeshadow to soften the edges or we've painted on a bit of the Brushstroke Liner in Brushblack and the Shape + Shade Brow Tint – you get a bit of texture when you mix the black and brown together.

On the lips we're using Act Natural which is dirty nude. We don't want them to be too matte, we want them to look healthy so have added a little bit of lip conditioner at the end."
