Who: Johnathan Simkhai
When: 4:00pm, May 13, North Bondi SLC

Hair: Richard Kavanagh for ghd
Hair look:
"The hair for Jonathan Simkhai is the hair that every girl wants. Easy, effortless, cool-girl hair. For me it's the hair equivalent of the no-makeup, makeup – but that takes a lot of work. If a model has got quite coarse and damaged hair, we're working with the ghd air® hair dryer and natural bristle brush to smooth the cuticle and get control of the hair. Then we're using the ghd curve® soft or classic curl tong to twist and wrap, which gives a soft undulation in the hair. We, centre part it, drag our fingers through and tuck it behind the ear.

The look is inspired by a story Johnathan told me about where he got the idea for the collection was during magic hour, when you've been out for a few drinks in the afternoon, just as the sun sets and the light hits, and everyone looks beautiful."

Makeup: Liz Kelsh for Max Factor
"Jonathan was very excited to come here and hold his show at Bondi Beach and the theme of his show is golden hour. His clothes have a lot of texture to them so I wanted to makeup to have texture too.We want the girls to look like they've just stepped of the beach – glowing but with emphasis on the eyes, cheeks and lips.

We got there by using Max Factor Radiant Lift Foundation and we used the Max Factor Miracle Glow Pro Illuminator underneath and on top of that. We used the Miracle Glow Duo as a cream eyeshadow, and on the face and lips, to give on beautiful, peachy, sun kissed colour everywhere. Rather than look heavy, it makes the features pop. It's an easy, simple look, but very effective because it stand out in that Bondi Beach light."
