Who: Tigerlily
When: 12:00pm, May 13, Carriageworks

Hair: John Pulitano for Goldwell
Hair look:
"This look is created with a nod to ‘40s and ‘50s screen sirens. The thing we liked about that in particular was the beautiful wave they used to have in their hair. We wanted to create that, but obviously bring it back to now and also bring it back to Tigerlily. Instead of creating a softness, we wanted to create a bit of toughness to the look, so we’ve chosen to go with a wet texture.

Related Brands:

What we’ve done is we’ve used the Double Boost, which is a root volumising spray, then we went straight over the top with a Curly Twist Surf Oil. This is basically our hero product. Why I love this is that even though it gives you the grip of a surf spray, it’s the first spray of its kind that does have a faux oil in it, almost. What we did was we applied that in, and we’ve gone with a wax to create a decent texture.

We're now going to sort of embarrass the look with hair clips because hair clips are in right now. I’m going to hit the hair with a little bit more Surf Oil, which is perfect for giving roots a wet look. If you use a gel, it’s too wet and shiny, and if you use a wax, it’s never going to hold up."

Makeup: Lara Srokowski for Lancôme
Makeup look:
"We’ve gone for those really beautiful runway flushed cheeks, so we’ve used a nice coral blush on the apple of the cheeks. We wanted to keep the skin with an almost glass like effect. The inspiration was healthy, hydrated skin, so what we’ve done is we’ve used a lot of serums. A signature product that we’ve been using throughout the week is the Lancôme Absolue Oil. It’s actually got seven botanical oils and it is a very lightweight product.

For foundation, we’ve been using Ultra Wear, which is medium to full coverage, but rather than it being full coverage, we’ve transformed the texture by adding a few drops of the oil, which makes it really lightweight and really glowy on the skin. We’ve done a little bit of glow drops on the higher points of the face, and then we’re tapping the oil on the cheekbones too, so it gives that kind of glass and glossy look.

We’re kind of lifting the blush slightly higher, as it’s a makeup trend that’s emerged from Korea. We’ve patted a little of the excess blush onto the lip and then added a bit of nice mascara."
