L’Oréal NZ announce new management

L’Oréal New Zealand has announced management changes within its professional products division.

After nearly two decades at the helm of L’Oréal NZ’s Professional Products division, current general manager Gary Marshall is relinquishing the role in 2017. He is however, remaining with the business in a commercial and client relationship position.

Mike Bruce will take over as the new general manager of L’Oréal New Zealand professional products division, effective from 1 February. Mike Bruce is currently General Manager of Matrix New Zealand and Redken New Zealand and continues to be in charge of L’Oréal NZ’s American brands, Redken and Matrix. He is also joining the company’s NZ management committee.

The Professional Products French brands L’Oréal Professionnel, Kerastase, and also Pureology will come under the responsibility of Rachael Armstrong at the same time.

Commenting on his decision, Gary says it’s the result of a desire to rebalance his life and focus on his two families, his own and the industry family.

“With the support of L’Oréal New Zealand executive general manager Martin Smith and the L’Oréal Asia-Pacific senior leadership team I am moving to support the division with a commercial and client relationship focus,” he says.

“I am convinced the professional products division is in a position of strength and leadership within the industry and has an exceptionally talented team who are well equipped to build a strong future together with our industry partners.”
