Style Media is seeking a highly skilled and organised content marketing journalist to join its creative agency team.

CONTENT MARKETING JOURNALIST - 12 month maternity leave contract

The role: 

You will be responsible for championing creativity and developing strategies for our large portfolio of national clients. Every day will be different. You may be tasked with organising a photoshoot from end-to-end, putting together a printed custom magazine with national distribution, or working with our social team to develop and plan content for one of our many social media clients.

This role is varied and fast-paced. As well as being a highly skilled journalist, the role will also require you to be a creative strategist and a diplomatic thinker. You must have excellent organisational skills and amazing attention to detail. 

The person: 

A true creative thinker, you love to think outside of the box and understand the power of a fantastic creative strategy. Ideally, you have minimum six years’ experience in a similar role – a background in journalism is mandatory. Marketing, communications, business and/or PR is also highly regarded.

You will have experience in client-facing roles and exceptional communication skills. You are comfortable working in a large collaborative team, or independently. You have experience working to tight deadlines and the ability to manage and execute several jobs at once. 

Responsibilities: 

- Create content for our Style Media clients, across traditional and digital mediums 
- Build personable and genuine relationships with our client network, always exceeding their expectations 
- Ability to write effectively for different audiences across different channels
- Create content solutions for our clients, turning their written briefs into a reality 
- Identify and develop new opportunities for custom marketing and creative agency prospects Australia wide 
- Manage freelancers, interns, and contractors where necessary 
- Contribute to the growth and expansion of our agency, ensuring we are staying on top of trends, and always finding commercial ways to develop the business 

Reporting to the content manager, salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a 12 month maternity leave contract.
