Body+Soul to become standalone magazine

News Corp Australia is rolling out changes to its Sunday magazines, as part of weekly mastheads The Sunday Telegraph (NSW), Sunday Herald Sun (VIC), The Sunday Mail (SA) and The Sunday Mail (QLD).

As part of those changes, Body+Soul will now become a standalone magazine, published Sunday May 23 for the first time.

As well as the latter, Stellar and The Binge Guide will be paired up as a flip cover magazine.

The news comes as Body+Soul turns 21, and the expansion of the brand is being led by Body+Soul, Stellar and The Binge Guide editor-in-chief, Sarrah Le Marquand.

“Since Body+Soul first launched, Australians have come to define the notion of health as encompassing not only physical wellbeing, but also lifestyle, relationships, sexuality, self-care and mental wellness,” said Le Marquand.

“In acknowledgment of this, on Sunday we unveil a new look Body+Soul, with increased pages of expert advice covering everything from fitness, nutrition and beauty to family issues, social dilemmas and – in response to reader demand – more shoppable content.”

Each week Body+Soul will also feature taste.com.au recipes. And after its successful launch of The Edit section last spring, that content will now be expanded upon each week in Shop Body+Soul, allowing consumers to shop the issue via QR codes.
