Collective Hub to cease printing

The Making & Breaking of Collective Hub Interview with Lisa Messenger

After 5 years in existence, Lisa Messenger has announced Collective Hub will cease printing, with the current issue of the mag to be its last.

The news comes after Messenger revealed in various interviews over the past few weeks, that she wasn't sure if the future of the publication should be in print. Today, the front page of the final edition comes with an open letter to readers officially announcing the news.

A video interview with Collective Hub editor Amy Molloy has also been published on the website (and can be watched above). It discusses the “making and breaking” of the publication and its future with Messenger saying there is a multitude of reasons for the closure.

Messenger said while she believed it was “absolutely, unequivocally” the right decision, it had taken her 18 months to make the announcement. She also said the move was “courageous” and “brave” and hopes the closure of the print edition teaches people its “okay to break things, it’s okay to pivot and morph”.
