Cosmopolitan launches body positive Cosmo Curve competition

In partnership with Taking Shape, Cosmopolitan magazine is embarking on a nationwide search to find a new body positive model across Australia, dubbed Cosmo Curve.

The competition, run in partnership with Taking Shape, is looking for a new curvy face of Bella Management and curvy Cosmopolitan cover star.

Ambassador for the competition is none-other than Robyn Lawly, who having had some groundbreaking moments for curvy women throughout her career — including being the first ever plus-size model to grace the cover of an Australian fashion magazine, as well as featuring in Vogue Italia – Lawley has expressed excitement at having a competition that doesn’t just have “the token curvy girl”.

“The national average is a 14 to 16 so this (competition) is like the national average, everyone can join and try out for it,” Lawley told AAA.

This month, a panel of judges, including Cosmopolitan editor Keshnee Kemp, will hold an open casting at Myer stores in five capital cities - Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane - to meet and interview women who are super confident in their gorgeous curves.
