Two iconic children’s magazine brands have been sold, with Nextmedia announcing the sale of K-Zone and Total Girl, to Nuclear Media.
The acquisition marks an important milestone for Nuclear Media, a fast-growing specialist publisher focused on youth and entertainment content, as it expands its portfolio in the market.
The company plans to invest in refreshed editorial, digital extensions, and new audience-building initiatives designed to strengthen the long-term future of both brands.
"We’re thrilled to welcome K-Zone and Total Girl into the Nuclear Media family," said Nuclear Media CEO, Michael Downs in a press release.
"These are beloved and enduring brands with a special connection to young Australians."
"We see enormous potential to evolve the titles while honouring what readers love most – fun, creativity and authentic youth-driven storytelling."
Nuclear Media also publishes consumer titles, KRASH, It GiRL, FHM, Women’s Fitness, Harmony of Colour, What Doctors Don’t Tell You and more.
The acquisition is not expected to impact the publishing schedules.
