Absolute Essential earns vegan certification

Absolute Essential adds another earth-friendly accreditation to its list with news that the brand’s range of therapeutic plant oils is now entirely vegan.

The Vegan Certified trademark was awarded in March, and makes Absolute Essential the only New Zealand company to achieve both organic and vegan certification.

The relatively new trademark was developed in response to increasing demands in New Zealand for an independent vegan certification programme. It is owned and administered by the NZ Vegetarian Society and supported by the Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Companies with this mark can state their products are: free from animal derived ingredients, have had no cross-contamination during production, are GMO-free, and no animal testing has been carried out.

Since Absolute Essential's inception over 30 years ago, operating ethically and practicing sustainability has always been of prime importance. The company also has AsureQuality and BioGro certifications, verifying its environmentally responsible and eco-conscious status.
