If the man in your life needs some grooming, you’re in luck. Skin clinic About Face has launched Auckland’s first men’s only skin clinic, About Man. Set up in the heart of Ponsonby, the clinic will offer non-surgical services to prevent future ageing and keep men looking in top shape.
The growing trend of male grooming and other skin clinics opening overseas has prompted the move. About Face founder Marianna Glucina says they have been looking after women’s skin for more than 30 years and the time is right to offer skin treatments for Auckland men. She says, “There is more emphasis these days on men looking after themselves and their appearance.”
Glucina says men need specialist treatments to suit their skin because their skin is 25 per cent thicker than woman’s skin, with a rougher texture and oilier complexion due to more sebum. About Man will stock NZ skin care range Triumph & Disaster and will offer a range of treatments, from one off express pick me ups to hi-tech, non-invasive treatments such as IPL and the Clear + Brilliant Laser – winner of NZ’s Best in Beauty 2017.
About Man will offer the following treatments: The Express Stop, The Skin Saver, The Cut and Polish, Complete Works and The Game Changer.
