The bd team trial anti-ageing treatments, plus other products that have caught their eye.

This latest product launch from AHAVA promises to be a moisture and radiance boosting” serum - and it definitely lives up to its name. I have been using this as a special weekend treatment rather than a daily serum for a few weeks now, underneath my moisturiser. As a triple concentration of AHAVA’s signature Osmoter, which combines all the skin-loving benefits of Dead Sea minerals, my skin tingled when I first applied it but then felt soothed and smooth and springy to the touch. The unique properties of the Osmoter complex mean that all the beneficial ingredients are carried to the layers of the skin where it matters most, to ensure that skin maintains optimum hydration levels. The result is that the complexion looks younger and incredibly healthy. - Janet

ANNOD Eye & Lip Treatment

With the beauty world’s obsession with all things oil (and their effectiveness) at the moment, it’s only natural that brands are now looking at oils to target certain areas - such as ANNOD’s Eye and Lip Oil. The lip part really piqued my interest as it’s something we often forget in the fight against ageing. As lips actually thin as we get older and lines deepen around the area, this means it is critical to find products that are specifically targeted to improving this. The product includes all the good stuff (think rosehip oil, vitamin E, jojoba oil) and works to smooth, firm and reduce wrinkles on the eyes and lips – who wouldn’t be sold? While I haven’t used it long enough yet to really comment on the visible differences, I can say that the oil feels light and hydrating on the eye area and my skin feels smoother after using it day and night. When it comes to my lips, I’ve left the product on my desk and applied it to my pout throughout the day. What I’ve noticed is that my lips are no longer cracked and the oil gives them a boost of colour - it’s also a great base to then apply my favourite lip colour. Looking forward to seeing further results. Watch this space. - Eliza

My face tends to get pretty dry, so I am always on the look-out for a hydrating primer that I can adopt into my everyday make-up routine. The Face Of Australia Primer is oil-free, so my skin was left hydrated but non-greasy. It delivered a flawless, dewy base for make-up application and soothed my skin thoroughly. To apply, I smoothed a thin layer directly onto my face after cleansing, concentrating on the drier areas of my skin, which tend to be around the nose and chin. My skin was instantly freshened and brightened, ready for make-up application. This will be added to my cosmetic case, as the primer glides on easily, and it contains chamomile and yarrow extract to protect my skin against free radicals. - Maddie

If you asked me if I could change one thing about my skin’s appearance, it would straight away be - Get rid of those awful wrinkles around my eyes!” Why, oh why are they there? They are ruining my life! As a result, I’ve been grabbing every product I can get my hands on that helps target the eye area. One thing that particularly stood out about the Okuru Triple Effects Eye Créme is that it doesn’t just target one problem area, but three. Said to drastically reduce the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and eye bags - clinically-proven results attest to all three things as well as finding it helps increase the appearance of skin elasticity and eye puffiness. Winner! The créme has a thick creamy texture, different from many of the eye serums I’ve been trying of late - so straight away it has the socket feeling more hydrated and nourished. Harnessing a powerful combination of peptides, I’m confident this product will help answer my skin woes. - Yelena

I’m having a little bit of a coconut moment. Whether it be fresh, frozen or flavoured, it’s definitely something that is on my must-have radar. But in terms of scents, coconut has come a long way and gone are the days of sun-tan oil or surfboard wax, rather say hello to a subtler, deeper scent that hints at summer days, but doesn’t overpower. pureTAN’s Moisture Coconut Body Crème does exactly this. The consistency is thick yet incredibly creamy, and it disappears almost instantly into your skin leaving behind baby-soft skin and the wafting hint of holidays. Made with extra virgin organic coconut oil that are high in vitamins, antioxidants and lauric acid, this is one product that is way more than just a summer crush. - Nat

With thick curly hair, I am the perfect candidate for a leave-in masque or conditioner, so I was really excited when I had the opportunity to try the Davroe Luxe Leave in Masque. I used this masque on my wet hair when I jumped out of the shower and blow-dried my hair shortly after. Straight afterwards my hair felt smoother than ever and full of moisture, but with results like that, you’d think there would be a few bad points - but there’s none at all. It doesn’t feel sticky, it doesn’t feel tacky, and it doesn’t feel heavy. I applied the product to my ends only, so my blow-dry lasted the same amount of time as always. Not only did my hair look and feel great, it was also protected by UV, which is music to my ears. The best part about the masque is that it not only gives to you, it gives back, with Davroe donating 5 per cent of the RRP of each masque to the McGrath Foundation from now until the end of January. - Liz
