I’ll give Chi Chi this - they make a mean user-friendly cosmetic. Even for people like me, who aren’t particularly talented at applying eye make-up, this Double Ended Eye Brightener is easy to understand. The matte inner rim eye brightener is simple to apply along the waterline of the lower lashes, and leaves a nice subtle shade. I then used the shimmer eye highlighter on the very inner corners of the eyes, and underneath my eyebrows in a thin line to make them pop. I also used the highlighter on my cheeks by first rubbing the pencil on the back of my hand and patting it onto cheeks. The moisturising formula means it doesn’t pull across skin, but applies and blends in easily. - Lucy
The Burt’s Bee’s Lip Shine is a great lip-gloss to wear at night or during the day. In all honesty, I am not a big fan of lip-glosses, and I have to say, this has become my wonderful exception. The gloss gives my lips sheer colour and moisturises them at the same time. It has been formulated with vitamins A and E alongside apricot kernel and sunflower seed oil, so it left my lips hydrated and smooth. I used the ‘Smooch’ shade, which delivered a red plum colour to my lips. I also applied it as a shiny topcoat over a red lipstick to add a glossy sheen. A shiny gloss for a smoochy time! - Maddie
While I don’t suffer from sensitive skin, my face isn’t quite ready to say hello to very strong actives, so I’ve found that the Trilogy Rosehip Oil is the skincare product for me. Compared to other rosehip oils, the Trilogy oil has quite a subtle fragrance. It absorbs beautifully into the skin, making it feel nourished instantly without leaving an oily film. Another bonus about the oil is that it doesn’t make my foundation oilier or more dewy. It has also helped dry patches of skin on my face to heal really quickly. The dropper applicator makes it easy to use and easy to control how much product is going onto the skin each time. - Liz
Rarely, if ever, does my manicure remain unchipped or smudge-free from the time the top coat is applied to me walking out the salon door. If there’s a bag, chair, desk or object that could potentially ruin my new nails, I’ll inadvertently find a way to run into it. So it’s no surprise that I’m totally in love with the new CND VINYLUX polish that gives week-long wear without chipping. Yes, a whole week. Really. I tried this out at the launch and again with my new fave nail polish colour Lobster Roll and, despite the tendency for my hands to knock things, this colour stayed put for a week. The secret’s in the top coat, which gets stronger the more it’s exposed to natural light, and it also gives a super shiny finish so it always looks like a fresh application of colour. And the best bit for me was that the polish completely dries in less than nine minutes so you can be on your way in record time. Love it! - Michelle
