Worth over a billion dollars a year and growing fast, getting salon-worthy results in the home is no-longer just about slapping on a nail polish, rolling on a wax or washing through a hair dye.
A new wave of hi-tech DIY devices are revolutionising treatments conducted in the home and include everything from anti-ageing systems to laser IPL. "From the next generation of at-home beauty devices that harness energy and light to new ingredients that boost cellular energy, beauty brands are giving consumers more power and vitality for better results,” says Mintel global skincare analyst Nica Lewis.
