RAFW: Miss Unkon

Make-up

"The look is largely inspired by a 1960's Brigitte Bardot and the creative freedom of that era. It goes against the modern-day return to conformity. We are trying to reflect the concept of natural beauty so I've put fake freckles on all of the models. Miss Unkon is all about fun and freshness so not many of the models are wearing foundation.

We are all independent make-up artists using our own kits - so a real range of products. We've been lucky to take the best bits of different brands but Lanvin.com has contributed a lot." - Becca Gilmartin, Independent

Hair

"It's about individual beauty - there is no one look. We're going from the '60's Brigitte Bardot to a '70's look, which says "I've been wearing my hat and now I've ripped it off and am going free." It is about natural beauty. Everyone is beautiful and we all aspire to be something else - we are just focusing on finding the girls' inner beauty and just going with it. We don't want it to be too pretty, we want it to be very edgy." - Alex Grahl for Redken
