bdBLOG: A smile goes a long way

One of my favourite quotes of all time is one by Audrey Hepburn, when she said, Happiest girls are the prettiest.” Such a simple quote yet I think it is incredibly beautiful advice from one of the most beautiful women of all time.

A recent study by suggests I’m not alone on this one, with the survey revealing more than a third of males admit that a nice smile catches their eye when meeting a member of the opposite sex. Girls, however, have slightly different priorities, with 45 per cent of women claiming a man’s eyes are the first thing they check out.

While a smile is definitely high on my priorities list when I first meet a guy, I’d have to agree with the majority of Aussie women. I do find it refreshing, though, that so many men indicated a smile ranked high on what they noticed about women. A good smile is a lot easier for the everyday girl to achieve than a supermodel-esque body, which is what most women probably think men are after.

The results were compiled in the National Smile Survey, commissioned by the new Colgate MaxWhite ONE Ice.
