As with any trend, the best way of measuring a movements popularity is via Pinterest; and it turns out there has been a 120 per cent increase in saves for ‘blue eyeshadow’ ideas over the last year in Australia. Aussies are also reportedly loving blue liner, as Pinterest has seen a 30 per cent increase in saves for 'blue eyeliner' year over year.
From being worn across the lid, smudged under the eye to winged out with cat-liner, the bold blue shade is dominating eye makeup styles.
But it’s not just blue shadow that’s resurfaced, creating edgy, look-at-me eyes with other neon shades is set to be a major beauty trend in 2018, with searches for ‘bright eyeshadow’ up +63 per cent YoY globally, as revealed by Pinterest in the Pinterest 100 Report.
