The new packaging will be used on the Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion collection and will be made from sugarcane, which is a natural and renewable resource.

The use of sugarcane-based plastic in our Nature Fusion packaging allows us to offer the same performance consumers expect from Pantene but in a more sustainable way,” says Global Pantene brand franchise leader Hanneke Faber.

We’re thrilled to be the first hair care brand to use this technology on its packaging but we also recognise sustainability is a journey and we’re fully committed to it.”

The more recyclable bottles will first be launched in Western Europe later this year with plans to roll out across the globe in the following two years.

P&G is constantly looking into sustainable options and we will definitely be looking into this for the brand in Australia,” says Procter & Gamble Australian spokesperson Lisa Cunningham.
