Jessica Hart launches her own cosmetics range

It seems if you've made a name for yourself in the Australian modelling scene, the next natural progression is to lend your hand to a beauty line. Following in the footsteps of Jennifer Hawkins and Lara Bingle, Jessica Hart is the latest Aussie model to develop a cosmetics range.

The LUMA Natural Beauty by Jess Hart is an eco-friendly cosmetics range for ages 18 to 35. Hart decided to develop and design LUMA after spending many years in the make-up chair.

"It has always been my dream to create LUMA as a nourishing cosmetic range that can enhance one's natural beauty," says Hart. It has taken my team and I over two years to create a cosmetic line which I am proud to put my name on. I’ve always said that I would never put my name on anything that I was not 100 per cent involved in the creation of."

The range offers over 30 products including a tinted moisturiser, liquid foundation, concealer, finishing and bronzing powder, shimmer highlighter, brushes, powder blush, lip gloss, mascara, sheer lipstick, and eye shadows/definers.

As part of the LUMA range, Hart has also designed a one-off lipstick to raise funds for Pink Hope. The lipstick will make up part of LUMA Cosmetics’ official sponsorship of the Pink Hope Charity's Bright Pink Lipstick Day, with all proceeds from the sale of the LUMA Pink Hope lipstick going to the Pink Hope Charity.

"I am so proud to have been given the chance to design this one-off lipstick shade for this great cause," says Hart. "By making a promise to kiss and tell on September 26, to show someone you care by talking about family health history, we hope to help save the lives of women that are at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Prevention, early detection and having a conversation to assess your risk is key."

To help promote the campaign, Hart teamed up with her sister Ashley, with both snapped wearing white shirts and the pink lipstick shade.

LUMA will be available at www.lumacosmetics.com.au from mid-September. The LUMA Pink Hope lipstick will be sold exclusively through Priceline stores, Luma Cosmetics and PinkHope.org.au throughout the month of September for AU$19.95.
