Following on from the popularity of the “selfie stick”, there’s a new camera accessory that is sure to get a few people worked up. Snap-happy phone users will soon be able to dabble in instant photography, thanks to the creation of an innovative camera phone case.
Prynt is a specially designed case for Android and iPhone models. Users can plug their phone directly into the case and, from there, print any pictures taken.
For this to work, refillable photography paper needs to be inserted into the case and replaced when necessary. With no ink or WiFi required, the Prynt case is an easy (and potentially cheaper) alternative to the traditional stand-alone instant camera.
The Prynt case has already proven popular on Kickstarter. While its original goal was $50,000, it has managed to amass a huge pledge of $553,081 from 3,628 backers - and there are still 29 days of crowdfunding left.
Prynt is now available for pre-order online.
