It seems Lara Bingle and Kyly Clarke have more in common than just men and modelling, with both girls branching out into their own beauty businesses. Earlier this week, Clarke revealed she is launching Lyfestyled, a new beauty brand offering a luxurious range of candles and diffusers.
A year in the making, the Lyfestyled range is made up of powerful scents from around the world including Tahiti, England, Thailand, India, South Africa and Hawaii. Clarke explains: “No matter where I travel to, I always have a piece of where I want to be with me through the power of scent.”
The collection consists of 11 regular candles and diffusers, three large candles, three massage candles, and three gift collections containing three votives each.
“I think there’s time for another Jo Malone. I’ve always wanted my own independence. I wanted a business I could call my own. Michael’s proud of everything I do, but I really just wanted to create my own thing,” Clarke tells the Daily Telegraph.
“I will use every dollar I have to make this work. I want to know everything that is going on, every dollar in, every dollar out, because it is my money that I’m spending and I want to use it to the best that I can for this business.”
The scents available in the Lyfestyled range are Thai Cinnamon & Patchouli, Tahitian Sandalwood & Orchid, Indian Jasmine & Lily, Tiger Orchid & Apricot, Hawaiian Grapefruit & Lemon, Fijian Pineapple & Paw Paw, English Pear & Rhubarb, Vanilla & Coconut, Lemongrass & Mandarin, Parisian Musk & Caramel, and Bamboo & Clove.
“I was very particular with selecting my scents. I wanted to create a business that I was passionate about, something that I would want to do forever,” says Clarke.
