Australia may now have access to thousands of overseas beauty brands, but it seems consumers are turning to local products more than ever before. Recent Roy Morgan research found there is an emerging niche for homegrown cosmetic brands, with Nude by Nature storming the ranks.
The nation’s number one natural cosmetic brand for several years, Nude by Nature has just announced another feather to its cap - recently ranked as Australia’s 10th best-selling cosmetics brand overall. It is the only Australian brand to get a top 10 ranking in a field dominated by global cosmetic giants.
With over 5 per cent of the total national make-up market, 6.3 million consumers purchased a Nude by Nature product in the six months to June 2015.
"The results speak for themselves; women are embracing natural cosmetic products that suit their holistic approach to lifestyle. We have the highest consumer awareness in the mineral make-up category and a brand loyalty of 53 per cent. Over half our customers say they wouldn’t consider using another brand of mineral make-up," says Nude by Nature marketing manager Leanne Parodi.
"Nude by Nature outperforms some of the leading multinationals in the marketplace. In addition, our conversion rate from regular to loyal users is a record 73 per cent."
