It’s not often you get a handful of editors from some of Australia’s leading glossies together in a room, but that’s exactly what we’ll get with the return of Runway Weekend. Held by Bauer Media in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall, the event is marketed as “your passport to the ultimate fashion and beauty experience” and will run on Friday August 26 and Saturday August 27.
2016’s event will explore the year’s fashion and beauty trends, with a smorgasbord of industry experts. Plenty of appearances will be made by the editors, and fashion editors of Australian glossies including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, The Australian Women’s Weekly, Harper’s BAZAAR, NW, OK!, Woman’s Day, SHOP Til You Drop, and DOLLY. Fellow guest appearances include those by MYER ambassador Jennifer Hawkins, and singer-songwriter Bonnie Anderson.
Key events for Runway Weekend include the Myer Spring Fashion Show, which comes accompanied by a Q&A with Jennifer Hawkins, and Harper’s BAZAAR editor Kellie Hush about the latest fashion trends. On the Saturday a similar event will be held with ELLE editor Justine Cullen. As for other media appearances, The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Mattie Cronan, ELLE’s Dannielle Cartisano, and Cosmopolitan’s Charlotta Backlund will also be in attendance at various events throughout the weekend, on hand to answer queries from the crowd.
