When it comes to online engagement, it seems like blondes don’t have more fun. A new study has revealed that images of brunettes have a higher click-through rate than any other hair colour.
Analysis by visual content marketing platform Olapic found that images of dark-haired people generated a 150% higher click-through rate – and 200% higher shopping click rate – than those of light-haired individuals.
Olapic explained the findings, and concluded that the results could stem from the fact that only 2 per cent of the world’s population is naturally blonde.
