P&G acquires New Zealand skincare brand Snowberry

Global personal care giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) has acquired New Zealand skincare brand Snowberry. The brand will join an all-encompassing portfolio including Pantene, Oral B, OLAY and SKII.

Greg Billington, General Manager of Snowberry, said P&G was drawn to the brand because of the company's use of natural ingredients and an innovative approach to skincare products.

Currently, Snowberry trades predominately in New Zealand, China and the United States, as well as other regions via e-commerce. The sale is expected to boost distribution by breaking down barriers to entry and providing access to P&G’s capital and networks.

Snowberry was founded in 2007 by Persian-born New Zealander Soraya Hendesi, who will remain at the helm of the brand along with Billington.

“Snowberry brings to our collection of skincare brands unique formulas rooted in the intersection of nature and science. It is a beautiful brand and story with outstanding performance, which makes it a great fit for P&G,” said Kelly Vanesse, a spokesperson for P&G.
