Moisture Mist withdraws from NZ market

Shiseido NZ Ltd has announced Moisture Mist will be withdrawing from the New Zealand market after more than 40 years.

In a press release, Shiseido marketing manager Chris Kennedy-Grant said due to the discontinuation of key ingredients in the Moisture Mist range, production is no longer possible for many products.

The range will still be available for sale into the second half of this year while stocks last.

Moisture Mist was renowned for its iconic Beauty Cake foundation and scarlet packaging reminiscent of Japanese lacquer.

First launched in 1978 under the Shiseido name, it quickly became a makeup range that New Zealand women loved to use. Moisture Mist saw great success in the New Zealand market, with production continuing long after the line had ceased distribution internationally.
