New Zealand’s first specialist Botox bar opens

Waxing and laser hair removal experts OFF&ON are dipping their toes into appearance medicine, backed by parent company Skin Institute.

New Zealand's first specialist Botox Bar opened yesterday in Britomart, Newmarket and Takapuna, something OFF&ON founder Nicky Shore says is a natural extension of its services.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch OFF&ON’s BOTOX® BAR and continue to ensure our offering is the most relevant and progressive possible. This is possible now as we are backed by the most trusted and very best in skin health and appearance medicine alongside Skin Institute.”

With the new venture, the aim will be to “demystify” injectables, Nicky says. “This is not injectables as you know it.”

Recent research carried out by OFF&ON reveals that New Zealanders believe Botox is not only about how it makes someone look, but how it makes them feel. In fact, 70% of those surveyed think injectables help with self-confidence.

According to Victoria Litchfield (pictured), OFF&ON registered nurse, decades of brow experience have made the OFF&ON team experts in facial mapping, understanding ratios, balance and proportion.

“The OFF & ON BOTOX® BAR philosophy is grounded in believable, natural results and the right application for the individual,” Victoria says. “Whether it is ageing positively and gracefully, feeling like a better fresher version of yourself or opting for some preventative maintenance, our aim is for a believable result.”

Instead of a set menu, patients will only pay for the amount of Botox needed, with leftover units ‘saved’ in a Botox® 'bank account’ for future treatments or ‘tweakments’.

The OFF&ON BOTOX® BAR Britomart, Newmarket and Takapuna opened 12 November 2019, with Wellington and Christchurch to follow 14 February 2020.
