MECCA has opened the world's biggest freestanding beauty store – and it's literally our beauty dreams come true.
Key media and influencers were invited to preview the flagship first-hand on August 6th. Guests enjoyed a sneak peek at the MECCA Perfumeria, the wellness sanctuary MECCA Apothecary, next-level skincare with MECCA Aesthetica and so much more.
And now, shoppers can experience this larger-than-life beauty destination, with doors officially open!
The three-storey Melbourne flagship spans 4000-square-metres inside the heritage-listed Cole’s Book Arcade. To put that into perspective, that's three times the size of MECCA's George Street store in Sydney’s CBD (!!!).
When we say this is a one-stop shop for all things beauty, we mean it. Think makeup, hair and nail salons, an in-house naturopath, brow and lash services, a high-tech skin clinic, a gifting mezzanine, a fragrance scentsorium, jewellery, engraving, piercing services, and even floristry.
"MECCA Bourke Street is the physical embodiment of our purpose – to embolden through beauty by helping people look, feel, and be their best," said MECCA founder and co-CEO, Jo Horgan in a statement.
"It reimagines what experiential retail can be, fusing creativity, culture, and collaboration to create something so much more than a store – it’s the MECCA of all MECCAs."
The Melbourne flagship stocks more than 200 brands and offers over 80 services, including the first international Josh Wood salon. There's a MECCA cafe (of course there is) and a 200-square-metre Meccaversity Auditorium, coming later in the year.
MECCA is now open at 299 Bourke Street, Melbourne. You can find more information and book services, here.
All we can say is, RIP to our wallets.
