Gracie Abrams expands role with CHANEL

CHANEL has named Gracie Abrams as the new face of COCO MADEMOISELLE, expanding her role as ambassador for the House of CHANEL.

Her natural elegance and distinctive creativity make her the ideal ambassador for the brand, embodying its very essence.

"It’s unreal to be the new face of COCO MADEMOISELLE, I feel an immense sense of pride," shared Abrams.

"I love that Coco is someone who leaves a mark everywhere she goes. Sometimes, I wish I could be more like her."

CHANEL head of global creative resources, fragrance and beauty, Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur said Abrams naturally exemplifies the spirit of CHANEL.

"Like Gabrielle Chanel once did, she asserts herself without artifice, driven by a fierce sense of freedom and an instinctive elegance," said du Pré de Saint Maur.

"There is that liveliness in her, that unfussy refinement, which recalls Coco’s modernity. It is less a matter of silhouette than of attitude: Gracie arrives where she is not expected, always in motion, charting her own path."

The news follows CHANEL's announcement of the latest fragrance in the range, introducing COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU.

Available from September, the scent has intense notes of amber, blended with vetiver and vanilla, a radiance from grapefruit and lychee, a sensuality of rose and jasmine, and the enveloping depth of patchouli.

"COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU is an affirmation of the self," explained CHANEL perfumer creator, Olivier Polge.

"This fragrance offers a deeply personal experience that exists only when it is worn."

"I like to imagine that it accompanies the woman who wears it."

It is not about conforming, but about revealing oneself, surprising oneself."

The new COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU campaign featuring Gracie Abrams will be unveiled in August, with the fragrance following in September.
