Listen up, because there’s some exciting new developments coming out of the tech world. Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, who left the company behind in 2018, are launching a new social media platform: Artifact.
Sharing the news to Instagram, Krieger called it "a personalised news feed driven by the latest in artificial intelligence."
The move makes sense in this ever-evolving world, considering AI technology is set to revolutionise the future. The waitlist for the app is now open, and users should be given access soon.
According to publication Platformer, Artifact will display a list of popular articles and when you click on one that catches your eye, you’ll be served similar content curated to you.
It’s been described as “TikTok for text” and it’s not hard to see why.
Others are predicting that the app will replace Twitter - news that will be welcomed by many after Elon Musk took over.
Artifact will also contain a feature where you can read articles written by other users and direct message them to provide feedback.
The news comes during a time in which everyone is looking to AI. Online bots such as ChatGPT, created by OpenAI in December 2022, is said to change the way we create and consume content, so make sure you jump on the bandwagon to stay up-to-date.
