Charlotte Tilbury honoured by the Queen

Each year, The Queen’s Birthday Honours List recognises the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people across the United Kingdom; and this year, five prominent figures in the beauty received this accolade.

Receiving an MBE (member of the British Empire) was Charlotte Tilbury “for her services to the beauty and cosmetics industry”. Another Honours List recipient was Jo Malone, who was upgraded from an MBE to a CBE (commander of the British Empire).

Speaking on the decoration, Tilbury said: “I feel incredibly honoured and very proud to receive an MBE in this year’s Queen's Birthday Honours List.

“To be recognised for my services to the beauty industry as both a make-up artist and entrepreneur is an amazing personal accolade which means so much to me.”

Other recipients of MBE’s were St. Tropez founder Judy Naaké and president of Cosmetic Executive Women Caroline Neville.
