Bianca Spender x Weleda backstage report – May 14th, 2025
Weleda Australia is proud to return to Australian Fashion Week 2025 as the official skincare partner for Bianca Spender, supporting a runway show that celebrates natural beauty, sophistication, and refined design.
Continuing a valued collaboration with leading makeup artist, Victoria Baron, Weleda provided skincare support backstage, helping to create luminous, skin-first looks that echoed the elegance of Bianca Spender’s collection.
The look:
Baron relied on the brand’s iconic Skin Food and other Weleda favourites to prep and nourish the models’ skin, achieving a fresh and radiant finish that enhanced—rather than masked—the skin’s natural beauty.
"Bianca Spender has always embraced a sophisticated and considered approach to shape and form. This collection, inspired by movement and water, paired beautifully with the glow and texture that Weleda skincare creates," said Baron.
"I wanted the skin to feel as though it had just emerged from water, allowing light to move beautifully across the face and skin."
Key products:
- Weleda Skin Food Original – $29.95 / 75mL
- Weleda Skin Food Light – $29.95 / 75mL
- Weleda Skin Food Ultra-Light Dry Oil – $28.95 / 100mL
- Weleda Skin Food Lip Balm – $12.95 / 8mL

"Skin was prepped and nourished with Weleda skincare, then lightly refined," shared Baron.
"Around the eyes, there is a soft worn-in cream tone and curled lashes."
"Lips brought a sense of structure. The upper lip was gently defined, while the lower lip was softened and diffused to reveal a touch of natural tone."
"Skin Food Lip Balm was applied just to the centre of the lower lip for a subtle hit of hydration and light. Some models wore a custom lip shade created specifically for them, while others were kept bare to let their natural skin and features speak," she added.
A backstage essential for makeup artists globally, Weleda Skin Food is loved for its rich, multi-purpose formula that deeply nourishes the skin. It works beautifully as a hydrating primer and natural highlighter, creating the perfect canvas for editorial, runway, and red carpet beauty.
"We’re honoured to support artistry that starts with real, healthy skin. Partnering with makeup artists like Victoria Baron and designers like Bianca Spender allows us to showcase our effective, natural skincare in the truly inspiring setting of Australian Fashion Week," said Weleda Australia managing director, Charmaine Pichler.
