PANTONE Colour of the Year has been announced for 2021 - or should we say colours of the year. Yep that's right, it's a two for the price of one vibe.
Say hello to 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and 13-0647 Illuminating - two independent colours that highlight how different elements come together to support one another.
"Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, the union of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is one of strength and positivity," said PANTONE Color Institute executive director, Leatrice Eiseman.
"It is a story of colour that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly."
A message of happiness supported by fortitude, the colour combination was selected to be aspirational and to give us hope.
"We need to feel that everything is going to get brighter – this is essential to the human spirit."
