The network linking influential people with brands

With vast experience in the world of PR, Kitay PR founder Keri Kitay is leaving her namesake company to launch an exciting new venture in collaboration with Scott Henderson Media - . A network of Australia’s most influential health and fitness professionals and brands, Team Unltd will be handling all the PR, brand communications and collaborations for these industry leaders.

It’s only just launched, but Team Unltd has hit the ground running, already working with the likes of celebrity personal trainer Cameron Byrnes, nutritionist, author and magazine contributor Kathleen Alleaume, celebrity nutritionist Zoe Bingley-Pullin, and author Elizabeth Horsley.

To get the lowdown on Team Unltd, BEAUTYDIRECTORY grilled Kitay on launching the network, what’s happening with Kitay PR, and why she saw a gap in the market for this venture.

Can you tell me what Team Unltd is all about?
Team Unltd is a PR and brand communications network of Australia’s most influential health and fitness industry experts and brands. We seek to provide a link between professionals, brands, media and the public.

We partner with the greatest brands and minds in our industry and disrupt the way health and fitness is viewed in Australia. Team Unltd exists to give our experts a voice and platform to leverage their message and reshape the values of everyday Australians through health promotion.

Why did you decide to launch it?
Since launching Kitay PR over two years ago, I have been fortunate enough to work with brands and people that I am passionate about and my desire to solely work in the health and fitness space has exploded. As the PR and media landscape is ever-evolving, our clients’ needs have too. They are looking for more than just PR, or just digital, so it became a natural evolution to be able to offer clients an integrated PR/brand communications approach inclusive of PR, social and digital.

Did you feel there was a gap in the market for a venture like this?
Definitely! Team Unltd enables brands, people, services and the media in health and fitness to work collaboratively and our contacts are across all these spaces, so it was only natural to us that the venture took this form. Brands and people don’t want to have to work with numerous agencies to get the job done, so it makes more sense to house everything under one roof - we have more control, greater consistency and larger possibilities. Further, we believed that we could work smarter to generate 360-degree communication strategies and leverage the power of partnerships and collaborations.

How did the partnership with Scott Henderson Media come about?
Scott and I were working independently and realised we were working and passionate about the same space (health and fitness). We actually connected through Instagram. We pitched for clients together so we could offer the integrated elements of PR, social and digital, and after winning a few clients as a partnership, we realised we were onto something much bigger. Over the next few months, our ideas and future goals were more aligned than we ever could have thought and we officially partnered, further developing the idea for Team Unltd and so it was borne officially.

What are your key goals for Team Untld?
For us, it is non-negotiable that we work with brands and people that we resonate with and that have the same values we do. Our goal is to work with and grow our network of Australia’s most influential health and fitness brands and people to help grow their businesses. We believe that health and fitness is the future. If we can cement healthy living and active living into the lives of as many people as possible through our brands and experts, we know we’re serving our purpose.

You already have some great clients on your books. Are you hoping to add to that portfolio?
We are so proud of the clients we work with and have 100 per cent belief in their products, expertise and services, so we do intend to grow this but stay true to our values, principles and beliefs. We are aware of the exceptional expertise we have at our disposal and the healthy messages we can help to share and bring to life, so brands and people who can help us on this journey are definitely who we want to work with.

Will you still be doing Kitay PR?
Kitay PR still exists but is now under a new name and fully integrated with Scott Henderson media as Team Unltd. All our clients from Kitay PR in health and fitness will now be under Team Unltd and we offer an expanded range of services.

Does this mean no more beauty?
It’s one of those bittersweet moments. I’ve been so fortunate and am so grateful for the brands and people who I’ve had the opportunity to work with, but to realise the dreams of Team Unltd, we will be predominantly focusing on health and fitness. However, to us, taking care of your skin is part of healthy living so we will still seek to be active in this space.

Where do you see Team Unltd heading in the future?
We were only planning on launching July 1, but the response has been amazing and momentum has been building a lot quicker than anticipated, so it might be hard to talk too much about the future. I think Team Unltd will always stay true to its core of building, mentoring and representing influential health and fitness brands and people, but it will be ever-evolving. The health and fitness industry has come such a long way, so we are excited to see what the future holds in this space and we will grow as it does. I think content creation will become even more paramount, and this is an area which is growing exceptionally fast.

Team Unltd’s future will be about how we can reach more people, change more lives, and positively influence the masses through collaboration and working as a team. We want to continually work towards creating a sustainable health and fitness culture and community while working with the best brands and experts in the industry.
