Dr. Pimple Popper gets her own TV show

She’s arguably one of the world’s most famous dermatologists in part thanks to her plethora of YouTube videos where she goes to town on an assortment on skin-woes. Now ‘Dr. Pimple Popper’ – as Sandra Lee is affectionately known by the millions that watch her videos – is getting her own TV show.

Picked up by TLC, the “oozingly addictive” (sorry) show was due to be called This Is Zit; but now the six one-hour episodes will air with the new name Dr. Pimple Popper.

"Dr. Pimple Popper provides a complete window into my world as a busy dermatologist," Lee says in a statement from TLC. "The TLC viewer goes on a journey with my patients during this series; first you meet the patients in their hometown, and see how their skin condition affects their life and the people around them. You understand how devastating their condition really is, how it affects their everyday life, and how they interact with others and the world. I evaluate every patient and decide on a treatment course to help their skin conditions — and afterward, we see how we have really transformed their lives!"

If this sounds like something you can stomach, the show airs on July 11.
