Nothing puts you in the Australian modelling spotlight quite like being the face of a department store, which is why the media is abuzz with news Jessica Gomes is a the new fashion ambassador for David Jones.
Gomes will be taking over from Miranda Kerr, who has been the main face of the department store since 2008. She will join the likes of other David Jones brand ambassadors including Megan Gale, Jason Dundas, Montana Cox, Gai Waterhouse and Emma Freedman.
"I am so excited to have the opportunity to represent Australia's leading department store and its incredible collection of fashion brands," says Gomes. "To follow in the footsteps of such iconic faces as Lauren Hutton, Maureen Duval, Megan Gale and Miranda Kerr is a career highlight."
The partnership with Kerr ended on a positive note, with David Jones boss Paul Zahra revealing, "We will forever consider Miranda part of the David Jones family.
