L’Oréal Paris has appointed Academy Award winning actress Viola Davis as its new spokeswoman.
Chosen for her "tenacity, authenticity and bold spirit," the 54-year old joins the company's team of distinguished ambassadors who push the brand's mission to reflect the modern world's diversity. In her new role, Davis will appear in print, TV and digital advertising campaigns for the Age Perfect line.
While Davis doesn't consider herself a 'classic' beauty, she still hopes women will be inspired by her image and that she can convey the message that there is beauty at every age.
“I worked tremendously hard to get where I am today – overcoming feelings of doubt to become a woman who truly believes I am ‘worth it’ in every way. I believe it’s so important to build confidence in women from a young age, and to role model diverse perspectives of beauty,” said Davis.
