Joining the likes of Britney Spears, Kim Kourdashian, Prince and Naomi Campbell, news came out over the weekend that Selena Gomez is being sued by a perfume company.
The singer has been hit with a lawsuit from Adrenalina Inc for failing to honour her promotional duties, avoiding her professional obligations and concocting weak excuses for pulling out of the contract.
Gomez signed a deal to deliver a multi-item line of branded products under her name, with the fragrance manufacturer suing for financial damages due to allegedly spending over $US2 million on research and development for the line.
On top of suing Gomez, Adrenalina Inc also want a court order to prevent her from pulling out of the deal.
Gomez’s attorney Michael Weinsten has refuted the claims, telling TMZ: "Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured after Adrenalina was terminated. Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages.”
