The sustainability switch: innisfree upcycling beauty

The latest brand to be featured in BD’s sustainability switch series, which highlights positive changes being made to become more environmentally friendly, is beauty brand, innisfree.

Paving the way with an eco-conscious approach to beauty, innisfree has announced the upcoming launch of its limited-edition Recycled Coffee Collection, made from used coffee grounds collected from the brand's Green Café at Jeju House, South Korea.

Used coffee grounds create considerable waste around the world, causing a significant toll on the environment. innisfree has taken a new approach to tackle discarded waste by collecting used coffee grounds to create a range of four unique, nourishing products.

The recycled coffee grounds are collected and processed to extract coffee powder and oil to develop the limited-edition formulations, dedicated to exfoliating and moisturising the skin.

The new Recycled Coffee Collection is set to launch on November 1, 2019 and includes: Purifying Body Wash, Purifying Body Scrub, Purifying Jelly Mask, and Purifying Lip Scrub.
