The official skincare and hair tool sponsors announced for AAFW

Afterpay Australian Fashion Week (AAFW) is excited to share two new sponsors for its much-anticipated event, commencing on May 31 to June 4 2021.

Joining the partnership for this year's fashion week is Hunter Lab, as the official skincare partner, along with ghd, as the official hair tool partner.

Inspired by modern design innovation, Hunter Lab will work closely with leading brands and industry professionals to empower skin health across the event, which includes shows by COMMAS and Manning Cartell, as they unveil their newest collections.

Across all shows, Hunter Lab will work with industry professionals embracing the power of nature, technology and design, and empowering the skin health of models before they head down the runway.

The skincare brand will also be hosting a weeklong on-site consumer activation at Carriageworks which will include an immersive interactive experience for all guests, celebrating the power of nature.

"Hunter Lab is thrilled to partner with AAFW in 2021 and beyond, to help celebrate Australian innovation on the world stage," said Hunter Lab co-founder, Elliot Waldron.

"The fashion community understands the importance of encouraging self-expression and inspiring all to look and feel their best, and that ties in perfectly with Hunter Lab’s mission to empower skin health and enhance self-confidence."

"We are proud to share Hunter Lab and our high-performing natural formulations with this creative community both here in Australia and across the globe," said Waldron.

As for hair, recognised as the industry’s leader in tools, ghd is proud to work alongside the most notable and emerging names in Australian fashion across six runways including Romance Was Born’s opening night shows, Next Gen, Bassike, KITX, Manning Cartell and the Future of Fashion that will close out the week.

ghd leading creative artists will collaborate with Redken to create stunning hair directions for the designer runways including Natalie Anne, Rumbie Mutsiwa and Mary Alamine and Pauline McCabe.

"ghd is a brand that’s synonymous with fashion and has long been the industry’s trusted hair tool of choice backstage at fashion weeks all over the world, which is why we’re so proud to partner with AAFW," said ghd managing director ANZ, Ludovic Dellazzeri.

"We look forward to creating hair looks for Australia’s leading designers at the pinnacle event of the Australian Fashion calendar that will also inspire our dedicated consumers."

To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary, ghd will be hosting a week-long on-site consumer activation, an immersive, interactive experience that will be the most in demand Instagramable moment at AAFW.

Additionally, the brand will be simultaneously hosting an off-site and appointment only Styling Suite, where media and influencers will get fashion week and front row ready by leading ghd professionals.
