Nutrimetics celebrates 50 years of beauty and empowerment

When founder Imelda Roche bought Nutrimetics to Australia, the aim was to provide people with skincare products based on natural ingredients and help women embrace natural beauty. In the 1960s, women were considered homebodies and men breadwinners – Imelda set out to change this. Her role as a pioneering business woman supplied many other women with a substantial income and in the process changed their lives forever. It’s a movement that has bought Imelda Roche joy and continues to inspire her today.

“We have to look at the next 50 years. This is not the end, this is the beginning,” founder Imelda Roche said at the brand’s 50th birthday celebrations in February this year.

The secret to Nutrimetics’ success is apricot kernel oil – an ingredient which has shown major promise when it comes to anti-ageing. First discovered in the Himalayas, Hunza Valley Tribespeople had a diet rich in apricots and applied apricot kernel oil daily.
