Finalists for La Biosthetique’s International Beauty Stylist Awards have been announced, with a mixture of highly technical entrants from Australia and New Zealand chosen in the two categories of cut and colour.
The judging panel included Ruth Browne from Pivot Point Australia, hairdresser Jayne Wild, Jo Cowan from INSTYLE Magazine, hairdresser Brad Ngata and Australian lifestyle journalist Elisabeth King.
Finalists were selected on whether their style stood out from the competition because of their unique cutting or colouring technique and the look of the model from the use of make-up, styling and overall impression of the image.
Many of these models would have been absolutely thrilled with the dramatic and beautiful transition to their new look which was underpinned by precision cutting displaying a strong technical understanding, whilst the colour section felt bold, modern and confident,” says Cowan.
