Condé Nast speaks on Anna Wintour’s position

Will she step down or will she stay?

The rumour mill has been working overtime with speculation on Anna Wintour’s position at Condé Nast; and while it seemed possible that the publishing legend would be leaving her position as Condé’s creative director and Vogue editor-in-chief, we now have a solid answer.

Conde Nast CEO Bob Sauerberg took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to reaffirm, in a pair of tweets that Wintour will continue on with the media giant, saying:

“Statement from Bob Sauerberg, CEO, Condé Nast: "Anna Wintour is an incredibly talented and creative leader whose influence is beyond measure. She is integral to the future of our company's transformation and has agreed to work with me indefinitely..." 1/2’

"...in her role as @voguemagazine editor-in-chief and artistic director of Condé Nast." 2/2”

Despite a very strategically teasing gap between tweets, all signs point to Wintour staying on at Condé Nast as she marks 40 years with the business.

Rumours around Wintour’s potential departure were ramped up recently as  Condé Nast enters a massive business restructure.
