M.A.C opens first counter on the North Shore

M·A·C Cosmetics opened its 13th retail location in New Zealand on Saturday 26th November, 2016.  Located in the suburb of Albany, the new 43 sq metre counter is the 1st retail outlet on Auckland’s North Shore and the 7th in the Auckland region for the cosmetics company.  The counter is located within Farmers in Westfield Albany designating the 4th retail collaboration between M·A·C and Farmers.

“We have had a steady stream of North Shore residents asking for a M.A.C Cosmetics outlet for some time now.  Some even set up a petition requesting for a M.A.C counter in Albany.  How could we ignore that?  We are so excited to be able to finally cater to their needs,” says Tanya Jackson, Brand General Manager, M·A·C Cosmetics New Zealand.

The new counter features the latest in M·A·C store design including New Zealand’s first playtable.  Located centrally within the counter, this interactive station will allow customers to test and play with a selection of M.A.C’s lineup of lipsticks and lipglass products in their own way or with friends.

Tanya Jackson comments that “the playtable enables customers to play with makeup in a less structured way meaning they can have a more fun and playful experience.”

Four makeup stations are positioned either side of a large coloured light feature wall.  Spread across the store are four large tables which house M·A·C’s full product range including trendsetting colour collections, artistry tools and brushes, skincare, and M·A·C’s universal range of shades, formula foundations, powders, blush and concealers providing the right choices for people of all ages, all races, all sexes.

Akin to all M·A·C stores around the world, the new counter is home to a diverse range of M·A·C Artists who deliver knowledgeable and exceptional service to customers, all with inimitable M·A·C style and enthusiasm.  Selected for their passion, originality and technical expertise, M·A·C Artists bring their uniquely personal makeup artistry to each and every customer.  Many of the Artists at the Albany counter have been with the M·A·C brand for some years, bringing with them a breadth of skill and experience.

The counter at Albany offers, like other M·A·C retail outlets throughout New Zealand, M·A·C’s Menu of Services where customers can experience full-face Makeup Applications and Lessons from 30-90 minutes, focus feature services concentrating on one area of the face for 10-15 minutes, and M·A·C Parties where a group can make it a party with friends working with one M·A·C Artist per three people for 90 minutes.  All paid for services are redeemable against M·A·C product purchased at the appointment.
