Tailor Maid Communications launches digital arm

Sydney-based PR agency Tailor Maid Communications has just announced its expansion into the digital field, with a new specialised digital marketing, social and content division.

Leading the new digital arm of TMC is Ashleigh Atkinson, and BD chatted with her about what we can come to expect from the venture…

What spurred the expansion into digital?

Digital, and particularly social marketing, are now seen as mainstream must-have avenues for promoting products and brands, particularly in the fashion and beauty industries. It was imperative that Tailor Maid Communications adapted our offering and moved with the times, giving us the ability to offer all of our clients a 360-degree approach to public relations.

What will the new social, content and digital arm offer?

Working alongside the PR team, we create dynamic social and digital strategies taking brands beyond likes and into the business objective of sales. Everyone wants to see a feed that’s multi-dimensional and we're able to provide that and more. We're working with the best creatives to provide clients with social friendly content such as stills, videos, animations, illustrations, GIFs and Boomerangs. Our digital strategies see us advising on everything from SEO to user experience, to ensure all of our clients are getting the most out of their consumers.

How will it affect your relationship with the brands you represent?

We're now able to offer a streamlined approach to all facets of a brand’s presence, meaning a consistent tone of voice and aesthetic with aligned objectives. This is a wonderful thing to be able to offer our clients.

What separates TMC's approach to digital platforms from other agencies?

The diverse nature of it. We're not just putting pretty pictures in people's feeds or aligning with the right influencers. We're strategically managing every aspect of their online presence – which is pretty powerful stuff. We're also bringing together 15 years of PR experience with 10 years of social and digital media experience, which we think is an unbeatable combination.
