BD Fast Five: Holly Wright

We caught up with stylish up-and-comer Holly Wright of , to get the lowdown on her beauty routine.

What three beauty products could you not live without?

I’ve worn sunblock everyday since I was 15yrs old so I definitely could not live without it! It’s my number one beauty product for keeping my skin looking younger.  I’m loving the Classic Primer sunblock by Coola at the moment, It’s so silky on your skin and not heavy and sticky like other sunscreens. Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined brow Pencil is also a must for me - it’s the best brow product I’ve come across! It has a spooly on one end to brush brows into shape and the colour match for me is perfect. Number three would be the Under-eye Brightening Corrector from Becca Cosmetics...I’m obsessed! I use it everyday as my under eye concealer as I don’t like to wear makeup on the daily. I find this really hydrating under my eyes, gives the perfect amount of coverage and a beautiful brightened effect.

Beauty-wise, how do you like to treat yourself and where do you go?

Every six weeks I treat myself to an Osmosis Medi Facial at Facetime Skin Clinic in Mairangi Bay. My Facialist Melissa is an absolute dream and really knows how to treat my skin and get it into tip top shape! I also see the girl's at Frenchie & Co in Takapuna for a brow and lash tint every eight weeks and also to freshen up my blonde locks!

What does your morning and evening skincare routine comprise?

I don’t ever cleanse in the morning, after my shower I just pat Estee Lauder Miracle Essence into my skin, followed by their advanced night repair eye cream. I then lightly massage with Unicorn Essence by Farsali and apply either Osmosis Hydrate or Weleda Skin Food on top. I find I use Weleda Skin Food as a moisturiser quite often during Winter as my skin gets really dehydrated. For night time, I cleanse with Osmosis Deep Clean, followed by Calm also by Osmosis. I then spray a few spritzes of their Infuse spray onto my skin and really massage the serum into my skin. I then follow with the Quench Plus moisturiser. For eyes at night I usually use a small amount of either Weleda Skin Food or Eau Thermale Avène Cicalfate Repair Cream and gently pat around my eyes for extra hydration.

What is your favourite fragrance right now?

I’m loving the Tom Ford Velvet Orchid fragrance, it’s such a luxury and smells like absolute Heaven! Also can’t go past the New Gucci Bloom fragrance either, It smells amazing and that packaging is everything!

What trend (make-up/hair or both!) are you keen to try this summer?

I’m obsessed with soft mermaid waves, but they just don’t seem to stay in my hair, would love to try and master it for summer though! I’ve heard spraying dry shampoo into fine hair before curling can really help the curl stay so will definitely be trying that. Also I love the glossy eyelid look! I think it’s probably all about finding the right product though! I’ve heard the Tom Ford cream eyeshadows are amazing for this and also the new Aura gloss from the Victoria Beckham/ Estee Lauder collaboration which is currently on my Beauty wish list to try!
