MECCA opens first of its kind concept store

New Zealand’s first MECCA concept store opens its doors in Wellington today. The curated space in Lambton Quay is the first of its kind in the country and promises a “truly unique shopping experience” while giving customers access to over 100 exclusive brands.

The innovative concept store, covering 435 square metres, is easy to navigate with dedicated areas for fragrances, makeup, skincare and more.

“We wanted to offer MECCA’s entire brand line up in the one location, in an environment that was both glamorous and service-centric but also with new innovations to make it a truly unique shopping experience,” says MECCA founder Jo Horgan.

The space has dedicated MECCA Perfumeria and Trove areas, where customers can browse a carefully curated collection of global beauty treasures. Brands in the fragrances section include the likes of Byredo, Diptyque, Frederic Malle and 100 Bon, and in the Trove section brands such as Le Sourcil, IIUVO candles and French Girl skincare.

As for makeup, customers will have access to NARS, Hourglass, Chantecaille, Stila, Urban Decay, Too Faced and MECCA Max.

The dedicated skincare area offers Sunday Riley, Drunk Elephant, Tatcha, Kate Somerville, Frank Body and Mario Badescu.

The inclusion of a Beauty Lab and Beauty Play Bar will give customers a space to experiment with the latest products and techniques. An additional 10 makeup stations will be available for makeup appointments, alongside a dedicated chair for skincare consultations.

Wellingtonians are the third market in Australasia to experience the latest breakthrough beauty concept. MECCA Wellington, located at 260 Lambton Quay, is the ninth in New Zealand’s MECCA store network.
