Plantae announces Rachel Hunter as new ambassador

Yesterday Plantae Certified Organic Skincare announced its new brand ambassador, international model and natural beauty advocate Rachel Hunter.

Revealed at Plantae’s launch event, the new Authentically Beautiful campaign is all about promoting healthy, natural beauty in a positive way.

The skincare range contains natural New Zealand grown (where possible to source) certified organic ingredients and pure potent nutrient properties.

Rachel says she was first drawn to Plantae by the “freshness” of each product. "The products are beautiful and real. I mean no added fragrances, no synthetics, just pure plant power. They're made by Kiwi women, for Kiwi women. And I love their commitment to sustainability and being an ethical business. I am really excited to be a part of this project,” she says.

Her favourite products include the Rose Otto Essential Water and Rose Hip Fruit and Seed Serum – which she regularly travels with – Pacific Blue Lavender Cream Cleanser and Sea Buckthorn Berry Night Cream.

The collaboration was a natural and synergised move, one towards building a positive, collaborative voice in the beauty industry.

Lisa Friis, Plantae CEO says, “Rachel represents authentic beauty to its highest level to us - being truly comfortable and confident in your own skin and coming home to yourself. She is someone who has always stayed true to herself and is embracing her new public image of representing both outward and inward beauty.”

Plantae aims to move away from homogenous beauty ideals towards a more nuanced, broader and more dynamic way of thinking about beauty.

The campaign video captures women celebrated for being who they are, with natural makeup, eating and sharing stories. Set at CEO Lisa Friis’s home based in Nelson, members of the local community also take part in the campaign.

The Authentically Beautiful campaign begins October.
