Sephora reveals opening date and interactive beauty bus

With interest in Sephora’s launch into the New Zealand market at an all-time high, the global beauty retailer has confirmed the Queen St flagship store will open in July.

While the exact date is yet to be revealed, Sephora has announced plans to launch an interactive touring beauty bus that will travel to three towns across the country as voted by New Zealand locals, with the final stop at the Auckland grand opening.

The double-decker Sephora Beauty Bus, wrapped in the iconic black and white striped calepinage, will showcase an exclusive selection of products that will be available to swatch and try at custom-built makeup stations.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, tarte and Huda Beauty are just some of the brands that will be on board and available to purchase via sephora.nz and Sephora’s mobile app.

From June 6, New Zealanders can vote to bring Sephora to their town, with the bus arriving at its first destination on July 6.

“We are so excited to announce Sephora’s first touring bus and share the arrival of our first store with all of New Zealand,” says Alia Gogi, managing director of Sephora SEA. “The Sephora Bus will give New Zealand residents the opportunity to experience our exclusive product offering before Sephora opens its doors in Auckland this July.”

Sephora’s first New Zealand store will be located at 152 Queen St, Auckland.

“Sephora Queen Street is set to become a beauty destination like no other, a place where New Zealanders will have access to a suite of the most sought-after beauty brands from around the world. We look forward to giving a taste of our Auckland store via our touring bus,” adds Gogi.
